Shannon Steel, M.S.,CF-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Shannon earned her Master of Science in Speech, Language, and Learning from Northwestern University, her Master of Education from Harvard University, and her Bachelor degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. 

Shannon has trained and worked in pediatric clinic-based settings and pre-kindergarten, elementary, and middle school settings. While she has experience working with individuals across the lifespan, Shannon’s training and professional background are centered on providing tailored, quality patient-centered care to children, adolescents, and young adults. She has experience in supporting client communication development across a variety of areas, including augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), speech sound production, receptive and expressive language development, and social (pragmatic) communication.

Shannon is dedicated to creating meaningful connections with her clients and ensuring that therapy is engaging, individualized, and aimed at fostering real-world communication success. When not in the clinic, Shannon enjoys spending time outside, exploring nature, and sharing quality time with her family.
