Sara Erickson, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Originally from Milton, Georgia, Sara graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders (Hotty Toddy!). After her time in Oxford, she earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Murray State University. Having grown up volunteering with individuals of all ages and abilities (and with a mom who’s also an SLP), Sara was inspired early on to follow in her mother’s footsteps. She has since earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and gained experience in both school-based and pediatric private practice settings. 

Sara has worked with children across a wide range of diagnoses, including Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delays, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Learning and Intellectual Disabilities, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Fluency Disorders, Feeding and Swallowing Disorders, Oral Motor and Articulation/Phonological Disorders, and AAC users. Her particular passions include supporting neurodiverse individuals, especially those with executive functioning challenges, ADHD, Autism, Gestalt Language Processing, and complex communication needs, as well as children with receptive and expressive language disorders.

Sara’s sessions are interactive, child-led, and functional. She believes in meeting each child where they are and in building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families.

Sara has a hilarious and amazing 4½-year-old son named Parker and a dog named Buddy, who both keep her laughing (and on her toes!) every day. She enjoys spending time with them, cheering for the Ole Miss Rebels and Atlanta Braves, collecting Monster Jam trucks (courtesy of Parker...), or taking on another overly ambitious DIY project!
