Rachel Wachtel, OTR/L

Lead Occupational Therapist

Rachel earned her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Georgia State University and her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Central Florida. She has completed her fieldwork in outpatient settings and acute care.

Rachel has experience working with clients of all ages, multiple populations, and within a variety of settings. Rachel’s specific interest is in sensory integration and processing. Rachel has received her Sensory Integration Certification through Ayre’s Sensory Integration (CLASI). She is a qualified SI practitioner with a detailed understanding of the neuroscience of sensory integration. She has expertise in assessing and intervening for children with sensory integration difficulties.

She is a very creative person who enjoys planning therapy sessions that are fun and unique but individualized to each client. In her free time, Rachel enjoys training for different workout competitions and races, playing with her dogs, hiking, spending time with family and friends, and anything else outdoors.
