Lead Speech-Language Pathologist, Specialist in Speech Sound Disorders and Early Intervention
Jordan earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Auburn University at Montgomery, and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Montevallo.
Jordan has experience with the pediatric population including childhood apraxia of speech, autism spectrum disorder, articulation/phonological disorders, receptive/expressive language disorders, fluency disorders, and oral and pharyngeal phase dysphagia.
Jordan is certified in the It Takes Two to Talk — The Hanen Program® for Parents of Children with Language Delays to parents of children ages 5 and under as well as More Than Words® — The Hanen Program® for Parents of Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder or Social Communication Difficulties. Jordan is trained in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol to remediate and address difficulties with articulation, oral-motor skills, and feeding.
Jordan is trained in TalkTools® Oral Placement Therapy that targets specific movements needed for speech and feeding that combines auditory, visual, tactile, and proprioceptive sensory systems to improve speech clarity and feeding. Additionally, Jordan is level 1 trained in PROMPT (PROMPTS for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets).
Jordan is trained in Meaningful Speech TM focused on child-led therapy, gestalt language processing, and the Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) framework, developed by Marge Blanc (2012)
She believes in the importance of developing excellent rapport with her clients, while providing fun and motivating therapy. In her free time, Jordan enjoys running, reading, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
