Emily Dean, M.Ed, CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Emily earned her Master of Science in Education Degree with a Major in Speech-Language Pathology and her Bachelor of Science in Education Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of West Georgia. She is licensed in Georgia and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She has experience working with pediatric, adolescent, and early adult clients in school and private practice settings. Emily has experience working in early intervention. Emily also has experience providing services through face-to-face settings and HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms.

She has serviced clients with a variety of disorders and areas of need, including the Autistic community, developmental delays, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, stuttering, speech sound and phonological disorders and delays, receptive and expressive language disorders and delays, Gestalt Language Processors, social communication and pragmatic disorders, and feeding disorders. Additionally, Emily has worked with clients who use AAC through high-tech, mid-tech, and low-tech in individual and group settings. Emily is passionate about supporting her client’s needs through their chosen communication modalities.

Emily is passionate about working with children and adolescents. She assumes competence and builds a unique connection with each client through child-led and play-based therapy. In her free time, Emily cheers on the Atlanta Braves and Kansas City Chiefs, builds charcuterie boards, volunteers with a local youth organization for girls, listens to audiobooks and podcasts, and other artistic pursuits.
