Lead Speech-Language Pathologist, Specialist in Early Invention
Paula obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Central Connecticut State University and Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Southern Connecticut State University.
Paula has 30 years of experience treating the pediatric population. Paula has extensive experience with early childhood development, providing assessment and therapy to children ages birth-three. Paula utilizes a coaching model, teaching parents and caregivers to utilize strategies in the daily environment to promote language growth.
Paula specializes in working with children with Autism, oral motor and feeding needs, sensory needs, augmentative communication devices, and oral motor planning deficits. Paula is trained in Meaningful Speech TM focused on child-led therapy, gestalt language processing, and the Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) framework, developed by Marge Blanc (2012).
Paula worked for 23 years for Cobb-Douglas Early Intervention / Babies Can’t Wait. Additionally, Paula has had experience working in private practice, outpatient clinics, and elementary schools.
Paula enjoys kayaking and being outdoors as hobbies.
