Meredith Powell, M.S.,CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist
Meredith graduated with an undergraduate degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Tennessee. She completed her masters degree in Speech Language Pathology through the University of Tennessee Health Science center.
Meredith has experience with pediatrics both in the school setting as well as private practice. She believes in including the whole family in treatment programs and providing parent coaching in order to generalize skills. Meredith has experience with a variety of communication disorders including: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, Apraxia, fluency disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, hearing impairments, and expressive/receptive language impairments.
Meredith is trained in Meaningful Speech focused on child-led therapy, gestalt language processing, and the Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) framework, developed by Marge Blanc (2012). Meredith is passionate about making therapy fun and enjoyable for the child while targeting speech and language goals. Meredith likes to practice her spanish language skills with her spanish-speaking families, but still requires lots of patience with it.
In her free time, Meredith enjoys being outside, seeing friends and family, doing puzzles, and traveling.
