MDE School was founded in 2009 by Mindy Elkan as a Home School program dedicated to helping families achieve maximum success with home-schooling their children, with an added social component. We have expanded our program and are now a fully accredited school serving children in grades K-8. Our program is designed for students with communication disorders whose learning differences are addressed on an individual basis.
A core curriculum in grades K-8 is offered as well as art, computers, P.E. and music. Our program prides itself on a small student-to-teacher ratio of 4:1. Individual education plans will be formulated to ensure that each child achieves their maximum potential. Students will be greeted each day with highly qualified professionals who offer dedication, motivation and excellence throughout the day.
MDE School offers a special education program which includes academic, social, vocational and physical fitness skills for all. Occupational, physical and speech/language therapies are available through Greater Atlanta Speech and Language Clinics (GASLC).
MDE School is located adjacent to the GASLC offices at 1517 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta, GA, 30062. The contact phone is 770-971-4MDE(4633).
